India fast bowler Mohammed Siraj has responded to Travis Head’s comments that the latter made after the end of Day 2 of the Adelaide Test between Australia and India. Siraj has put serious allegations on Head claiming that the Australian batter lied in the press conference.
During a press conference after Day 2 of the Adelaide Test, Travis Head was asked about the altercation between him and Mohammed Siraj after the former was dismissed. Head claimed that he said “well bowled” to Siraj but didn’t receive a good response from the Indian quick.

Mohammed Siraj replies to Travis Head’s comments
When Siraj was asked about the altercation, he claimed that Travis Head didn’t say well bowled. Siraj put serious allegations on Head claiming that he lied in the press conference.
The star India quick claimed that Head’s way of speaking was not right which prompted him to give such a reaction. Siraj replied to Head’s comments before the start of third day of the Adelaide Test while speaking to former India cricketer Harbhajan Singh.

What was the incident?
Mohammed Siraj and Travis Head were involved in an ugly confrontation during the second day of the Adelaide Test. Siraj dismissed Head for a well-made 140 and gave him a send-off.
The star Australian batter didn’t quite like it and said a few words before walking off the field. After the day when Travis Head was asked about the incident, he claimed that he jokingly said “well bowled” to Siraj but didn’t receive a good response in return.
Later, he also expressed his disappointment on his reaction to the incident but vowed to stand up for himself in such situations. He also accepted that the Australian team doesn’t want to play the game that way.
“It probably [went] a little bit far, that’s why I’m disappointed in the reaction I gave back but I’m also going to stand up for myself. Like to think in our team we wouldn’t do that. (It’s) not the way I’d like to play the game and feel like my team-mates are the same. If I see that, I probably call it out, which I did.”
Travis Head shines for Australia
Meanwhile, Travis Head played a belligerent knock of 140 off just 141 balls in Adelaide to put Australia ahead. The left-handed batter single-handedly took Australia to a position of dominance.
On the back of Head’s wonderful knock, Australia tightened its grip on the game and are on course to level the series. On the other hand, Mohammed Siraj returned with figures of 4-98 in the first innings of the match.
