Zimbabwe National Cricket Team have announced their squads for the white-ball series against the Afghanistan National Cricket Team. The two teams will be locking horns with each other in the three-match T20I as well as the three-match ODI series.

The Afghanistan tour to Zimbabwe will begin with the three-match T20I series. The first match of the series will be played on 11th December, followed by the second and third games to be played on 13th and 14th December, respectively. All three games will be played at the Harare Sports Club.

After that two teams will be locking horns with each other in the three-match ODI series. The 50-over series will be played from 17th December, and the next game of the series will be played on 19th December, followed by the last match, which will be played on 21st December. All the games will be played at the Harare Sports Club.

The T20I team will be captained by Sikandar Raza, while the ODI team will be led by Craig Ervine. Brother of Tom and Sam Curran, Ben Curran has been rewarded for his performances in the domestic circuit and has been named in the 50-over format team for the series against Afghanistan.

Young left-arm pacer Newman Nyamhuri also has earned the maiden call-up. He has been named in both squads and was picked after he impressed with his performances in the Under-19 World Cup in South Africa, where he was Zimbabwe’s highest wicket-taker.

Ben Curran and Newman Nyamhuri have replaced Faraz Akram, Brandon Mavuta, and Clive Madande who is recovering from a shoulder dislocation. The rest of Zimbabwe’s squad is the same as what they fielded in the series against the Pakistan National Cricket Team.

In the T20I squad, Zimbabwe National Cricket Team has made two changes to their team. Nyamhuri and Takudzwanashe Kaitano have replaced of Madande and Mavuta. They would want changes to pay off and they win the series, having faced a 2-1 loss in last series.

Zimbabwe, who suffered defeat in the ODI and the T20I series against the Pakistan National Cricket Team, would want to make a comeback. They would be keen to win both the series and give their fans something to cheer about.
