Jay Shah took charge as ICC Chairman on December 1

He was appointed as the BCCI secretary in 2019 and he also served as the President of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) since 2021. However, Jay Shah had to quit those roles as he started his tenure as the ICC Chairman for which he was unanimously elected.
After becoming the head of the global body, Shah stated that he was absolutely honored and expressed his excitement over working with the other members and taking cricket to new heights.
Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 levelled 1-1
The Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 is currently levelled at 1-1. India won the first match while Australia won the second match of the series.
In the first match in Perth, Jasprit Bumrah led India as Rohit Sharma was absent due to a paternity leave. Bumrah did an exceptional job as a leader and led from the front.
He took crucial wickets in the match and ensured that the visitors kept the Aussies under pressure. After a terrific performance from the bowlers, the batters stepped up as Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli hit sensational tons as India clinched a 295-run victory.
In the second Test in Adelaide, Rohit Sharma returned to lead the team, and he didn’t look at his best. Several questions were raised over the captaincy style of Rohit and poor personal form made things worse for him.
Rohit Sharma failed miserably in both innings and other India batters also weren’t up to the mark. Australia batters, on the other hand, looked terrific as the hosts bagged a 10-wicket win.
