Leaving the Ball Early in the Innings Is a Very Good Shot – Harsha Bhogle

Moments before the dreaded rain returned, Virat Kohli was dismissed for just 3 runs. The 36-year-old batter edged a wide delivery from Josh Hazlewood to wicketkeeper Alex Carey, just before rain forced an early lunch. India reached 22/3 at the break, trailing by 423 runs, with KL Rahul (13*) at the crease.

“Leaving the ball early in the innings is a very good shot,” Renowned commentator Harsha Bhogle wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter).

Rain interrupted play again during the second session, with players leaving the field after just two overs. The visiting team must avoid the follow-on to extend the match further.
