West Indies National Cricket Team spinner Akeal Hosein has scripted the history. He became the first player ever from his country to become the No.1 ranked bowler in the ICC rankings for the bowlers in T20I cricket.

Akeal Hosein achieved the feat after his staggering performances with the ball in the ongoing T20I series against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. The spinner Akeal Hosein has been at his best with the ball in the series and has troubled opposition batters a lot.

Akeal Hosein at the top means England National Cricket Team spinner Adil Rashid has been pushed back to the No.2 spot in the rankings. Sri Lanka National Cricket Team spinner Wanindu Hasaranga moved to third, and Australia National Cricket Team’s Adam Zampa fell to fourth.

Joe Root regain his top spot in the ICC Ranking for Test batters, Kane Williamson makes gains

In terms of the ICC Rankings for Test batters, Joe Root is back at the top of the rankings after his scores of 32 and 54 during the third Test against the New Zealand National Cricket Team in Hamilton. Harry Brook, who recently displaced Root, was back to second.

Kane Williamson, who hit a magnificent century in the third Test England National Cricket Team, made substantial gains after his ton. He gained rating points and is now within 28 points of Root at the top following his 33rd Test century that helped New Zealand win the match.

Apart from him, New Zealand National Cricket Team skipper Tom Latham also moved up six places to equal 31st spot in the ICC Test rankings. Will Young also jumped up 13 spots to 36th, making ground on the list for Test batters. While there were some changes in Test bowler rankings.

Fast bowler Matt Henry improves two spots to move to seventh and a new career-high rating for Test bowlers following his six wickets against England. Gus Atkinson also improved three spots to 14th on the list for Test bowlers and gained five places to eighth overall for all-rounders after an excellent series in New Zealand.

In terms of the ICC Rankings in T20Is, Pakistan National Cricket Team batter Babar Azam, after his performances in the South Africa T20Is, moved one spot to sixth. Reeza Hendricks, who slammed a century in the second T20I against Pakistan, jumped to equal ninth.
