But it seems that he also believes in giving away and keeping the laughs at times. This is what happened after he announced his retirement from international cricket after the Gabba Test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Reactions from the cricket community across the globe started pouring in as soon as Ashwin announced his decision to retire from all forms of international cricket. One such viral reaction came from a cricket fan who posted a photo of Ashwin waving to the crowd after scoring a test century against Bangladesh. The enthusiastic fan wrote, Only YouTuber to score a test century.” The post had reached millions of people within a few days.

After all the speculations and questions around his retirement had subsided, Ashwin reacted to a number of posts who were celebrating his coveted career. During that time, he came across the viral post and couldn’t help but react to it.

On the other hand, Australian captain Pat Cummins presented a jersey to Ashwin signed by Australian players as a token of gratitude towards the former Indian off-spinner.
