Mohammad Rizwan Catch Off David Milller

Pakistan wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan took a sensational catch behind the wickets during the third ODI against South Africa at Johannesburg to dismiss David Miller. It was a brilliant catch and probably one of the best-anticipated catches by a wicketkeeper.

During the 21st over of South Africa’s innings, David Miller tried to line up for a lap sweep to the part-time offspinner Saim Ayub. Mohammad Rizwan, who was behind the stumps premeditated it brilliantly and quickly moved to the leg slip position.

Miller connected well but Rizwan was well in position to catch the ball. The ball came towards Rizwan’s chest. He juggled for once but caught the ball with his brilliant reflexes in front of his helmet to start the celebrations in Pakistan’s camp.

Watch- Mohammad Rizwan takes a sensational catch to dismiss David Miller

Mohammad Rizwan was elated after taking this catch. He was immediately greeted by the former Pakistan captain Babar Azam who hugged him as the whole team gathered to congratulate their captain.

At the same time, David Miller looked shocked and devastated. He was dismissed for just 3 as Pakistan tightened its grip on the game. The Men in Green had restricted the Proteas to 123-5 during their run-chase of 308 from 47 overs.

Mohammad Rizwan is known as a brilliant wicketkeeper and hardly does anything wrong behind the wickets. He is one of the safest wicketkeepers going around in the world. The Pakistan captain is also a world-class batter capable of playing match-winning knocks for his side.

Saim Ayub slams a century

Meanwhile, South Africa won the toss and elected to field in a rain-interrupted game which was reduced to 47 overs per side. As it has been for the whole series, Pakistan lost an early wicket in the form of the opener Abdullah Shafique, who bagged another duck in a disastrous series for him.

However, Babar Azam and Saim Ayub steadied the innings with a vital partnership. Babar was dismissed just after completing his fifty but the skipper Mohammad Rizwan provided momentum to the innings.

In the meantime, Ayub reached a well-deserved hundred. Salman Agha also provided the late fireworks down the order as Pakistan scored 308-9 in the allotted 47 overs. Kagiso Rabada was the pick of the bowlers for Proteas with 3-56 in 10 overs.

Pakistan complete a clean-sweep 3-0

In reply, South Africa’s innings never got going as they lost wickets in regular intervals. The batters got starts but none of them could convert them into big ones. Wicketkeeper Heinrich Klaasen gave his best and smashed a stunning 43-ball-81.

Debutant Corbin Bosch and Marco Jansen also played key knocks down the order but the target was way out of reach. In the end, they were all out for 271 in 42 overs. Left-arm wrist-spinner Sufiyan Muqeem picked up 4-52 in 8 overs on his ODI debut as Pakistan completed a clean sweep over the hosts.
