India National Cricket Team goes against open training session after poor experience in Adelaide
The decision by the Pat Cummins-led side to allow the fans to see the training session comes after the India National Cricket Team banned it. The Rohit Sharma-led side kept the training session open for the first two games in Perth as well as in Adelaide.
But few of the Indian players claimed that fans abused them during their training session. However, after that, they banned the fans and, since then, have been training behind closed doors, and it is expected that they will continue to do so for the rest of the series.
Indian players reportedly expressed their disappointment over repeated requests from fans for selfies
Indian players reportedly expressed their disappointment over repeated requests from fans for selfies and autographs, which prevented them from concentrating and focusing on the task at hand. They used makeshift barricades in Adelaide to prevent fans from watching their session.
Even captain Rohit Sharma expressed his disappointment over the open net sessions, saying: “You know, the net sessions are very private, and this was the first time ever I saw so many people during the nets.”
The Test series between the India National Cricket Team and the Australia National Cricket is levelled at 1-1. The Rohit Sharma-led won the first game by 295 runs in Perth before the Pat Cummins-led made a comeback in Adelaide, winning by 10 wickets.
Both India and the hosts so far have engaged in an enthralling battle in the two games. With the kind of cricket that they have displayed, it promises to be an exciting third game. It remains to be seen who takes the lead in the five-match Test series.
