Baroda smashed the records during their Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024 match against Sikkim. They scored a mammoth 349-5 after opting to bat first as it involved whirlwind knocks from their batters.
Bhanu Pania, who has been in wonderful form throughout the season top-scored with a blistering 134 off just 51 balls. He struck 5 fours and 15 sixes during his knock. Apart from Pania, other batters like Shashwat Rawat, Abhimanyu Singh, Shivalik Sharma, and Vishnu Solanki also played key knocks.
The fact that Baroda achieved this milestone without their premier player Hardik Pandya speaks volumes about their batting talent. Skipper Krunal Pandya too wasn’t required to bat on the day.
