India National Cricket Team have suffered a massive blow ahead of the third Test against the Australia National Cricket Team. Keeper-batter Rishabh Pant coped a blow during the net session for the third game of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25.
With Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 being levelled at 1-1, the third Test of the series between the teams is all set to take place from Saturday (14th December). The match will be played at the Gabba in Brisbane, where India created history the last time they played against the Australian team.
Rishabh Pant was hit on the head while batting in the net session in Brisbane
India National Cricket Team have been putting in the hard yards going into the third match as they have been sweating hard in the nets in Adelaide. Amid all this, they faced an injury scare for Rishabh Pant, who was batting at the time he got hit.
As per CricketGully, it is learned that Rishabh Pant was hit on the head while batting. The keeper-batter looked in some discomfort as he stopped the practice session, and the medical staff checked on him, making sure that the keeper-batter hadn’t faced any concussion.
KL Rahul and Virat Kohli stopped their net session to check on Rishabh Pant after he was hit
The reports added that KL Rahul and Virat Kohli, who were practising in the adjacent net, also stopped their net session to check on Pant. However, in what was a positive development, the keeper-batter, after getting treated, resumed his practice session.
Pant will be extremely important for the India National Cricket Team going into the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. The keeper-batter in the last two games has played a positive brand of cricket and has entertained the crowd big time with his ability to counterattack in pressure situations.
Although Pant is yet to play a big innings, he has made a great impact on the Indian team in the first two games. He would be keen to set the stage on fire at Gabba, where last time he played the match-winning innings and helped his side breach the fortress of the Australia National Cricket Team.
