Hybrid Model Finalized for ICC Tournament – Report

Indian media suggests that the Indian team may play all their matches in the UAE for the Champions Trophy, including semi-finals and finals if they qualify. Pakistan is seeking a similar model for ICC events hosted by India, where matches between the two teams would be held at neutral venues.

The hybrid model for the ICC Champions Trophy has been finalized, according to a report by PTI. Pakistan will play in Sri Lanka during the 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup. The PCB’s request for compensation for the hybrid model is still under review.

“It’s been agreed in principle by all parties that the 2025 Champions Trophy will be held in the UAE and Pakistan with India playing its matches in Dubai. It’s a win-win situation for all stakeholders,” the ICC source told PTI.
