Mohammed Siraj and Travis Head became the massive taking point after they shared a heated exchange on Day 2 in Adelaide
Siraj and Head became the massive taking point after they shared a heated exchange between them. This came on the second day of the second Test, which was a pink-ball game between the teams at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide.
It started after Siraj sent Head packing following his blistering century. The fast bowler came up with the aggressive send-off as a ball before, he was hit for a massive six. However, the send-off wasn’t taken well by the batter.
Travis Head, too, shared the harsh words before the fast bowler gestured for him to leave the ground. This became a massive headline in the Australian media, with many lashing out at the fast bowler for giving a send-off to the batter who scored 140 runs.
Mohammed Siraj gives a befitting reply to Travis Head for lying in the media
After the end of day 2, Head mentioned in the press conference that he didn’t like the send-off by Siraj. He also claimed that he said “well bowled” to the fast bowler, and he took it otherwise, claiming that if India wants to play like this, they can.
But ahead of the start of play on Day 4, Mohammed Siraj slammed Travis Head for false allegations. He claimed that the batter didn’t say well bowled but instead abused him, and he didn’t like what the Australian batter did. Speaking to Star Sports, he said.
“After bowling him out, I celebrated. Then he abused me. You can see it on TV as well. In the start, it was my celebration, I didn’t say anything to him. In the press conference, he said the wrong thing. He lied. Noway, he said, well-bowled.”
Travis Head and Mohammed Siraj clarify things
