India pacer Mohammed Siraj was unfazed by the fine imposed on him by the International Cricket Council (ICC) following his fiery altercation with Australian batter Travis Head during the second Test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 in Adelaide.

Mohammed Siraj was docked 20% of his match fees and handed a demerit point for giving a fiery send-off to Travis Head at his home ground at the Adelaide Oval in the recent Day-Night Test match, which Australia won by 10 wickets. However, Head was handed one demerit point by the ICC.

Despite the disciplinary action, the Indian pacer was calm and unbothered, brushing off the fine of around INR 9 lakh as just another part of the game. The incident, which added fuel to the already intense Test series, saw both Siraj and Head receiving demerit points for their behavior.

The Indian cricket team had a practice session in Adelaide after their crushing ten-wicket loss in Adelaide. But, according to the Sydney Morning Herald, Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah were missing from the morning training session in Adelaide on Tuesday, December 10, just days before the third Test at the Gabba in Brisbane, starting on December 14.

When the Indian batters were practicing in the nets, Siraj was asked about his response to the fine for the controversial incident at the Adelaide Oval. Well, Siraj remained calm, casually saying that it was “all good” and quickly shifted his focus to a gym session, as he was clearly unfazed by the controversy, and he is ready to take on Australia at The Gabba.

Yeah man, it’s all good: Mohammed Siraj on the fine imposed by the ICC

Mohammed Siraj was quoted as saying by the Sydney Morning Herald: “Yeah man, it’s all good.” The Indian pacer added, “I am going to the gym now,” when he was asked further whether he was upset by the ICC’s actions on the Adelaide incident involving Travis Head.

Notably, after Australia’s dominant ten-wicket victory in the Adelaide Test over India, Head and Siraj put their differences behind them and shared a hug to resolve their altercation during the hand-shaking ceremony.

Earlier in the pink-ball Test match, the Indian pacer had given Head a fiery send-off after dismissing the Australian batter for 140 runs off 141 balls, and then the duo had a heated conflict at the Adelaide Oval.

It was a little bit of a misunderstanding: Travis Head

However, after the game, Head confirmed that they had cleared up the misunderstanding, putting an end to the drama.

Travis was quoted as saying by ABC Sport, “Sweet with it. He came out and just said [it was] a little bit of misunderstanding … I think we’ll move on. We’ve had a great week, so let’s not ruin it. He just said it was a misunderstanding as well, and there were no issues for me. We move on. I’m sweet. It is what it is.”
