Arshdeep Singh

India pacer Arshdeep Singh has registered himself in the IPL 2025 mega auction for INR 2 crore. The left-arm pacer is one of the biggest names to take part in this year’s auction.

Punjab Kings’ decision to not retain the pacer has raised several eyebrows. Not many were expecting the fast-bowler to be released and it won’t be surprising if he earns a huge contract in the auction. Arshdeep has been one of the best T20 bowlers in the world in the last couple of years or so.

He has proved himself not only in the IPL but in international cricket as well. He finished this year’s T20 World Cup as the joint-highest wicket-taker, helping India win the tournament after a gap of 17 years. Arshdeep Singh, who made his T20I debut in 2022, has already picked up 95 wickets in the shortest format of the game.

Only Yuzvendra Chahal has more T20I wickets than him for India while no pacer has taken more T20I wickets for the team than him.

In the IPL, he has been playing for Punjab Kings since 2019. He has picked up 76 wickets in 65 games for the Punjab-based outfit.

In the end, Sunrisers Hyderabad won the race at INR 15.75 crore before Punjab Kings exercised their RTM option to buy back the pacer at INR 18 crore.
