Fans on Twitter reacted after India National Cricket Team leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal was sold to Punjab Kings (PBKS) for INR 18 crore in the IPL Auction 2025. The Day 1 of the bidding event is underway at the Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.

Yuzvendra Chahal, who played for Rajasthan Royals last season, was one of the hottest picks in the ongoing auction. He invited the bidding between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings till 5.75 crore before Punjab Kings stepped in and got involved in the bid with Shubman Gill-led side.

After the Gujarat Titans pulled out, it was Lucknow Super Giants who got involved in a bidding war with the Punjab Kings. In the end, Sunrisers Hyderabad also tried their luck but the Ricky Ponting-coached franchise went on to seal the deal. The leg-spinner was acquired at the whopping amount of INR 18 crore.

The addition of Yuzvendra Chahal to the team will be a massive boost for the Punjab Kings. Chahal arguably is one of the best spinners going in the league and is one of the few players who is always on the list for the Purple Cap.
