Mumbai Indians (MI) are having a great time in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 auction. The five-time champions have made some massive additions to their team in the bidding event, which is underway in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Monday (25th November).
Mumbai Indians bagged the likes of Trent Boult, Robin Minz, Ryan Rickelton, Naman Dhir, Karn Sharma, and Deepak Chahar. Their latest addition was England National Cricket Team all-rounder Will Jacks, to whom they showed interest right from the start.
Mumbai Indians were involved in a bidding war with Punjab Kings for 5.25 crores, and they made sure that doesn’t back off. The five-time champions got the services of the all-rounder for under 6 crores, and after that, it was up to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) if they wanted to use the RTM or not.
However, Royal Challengers Bengaluru management went against that and it was Mumbai Indians who acquired Will Jacks for INR 5.25 crore. As the most successful franchise in the league got the all-rounder, there was a sense of joy among the management of the five-time champions.
It was then the owner of the Mumbai Indians, Akash Ambani, stood up from his seat and went to the Royal Challengers Bengaluru table. The owner went on to thank the CEO of the Bengaluru-based franchise and shook hands with other members of the franchise.
