Mohit Sharma has registered himself for the IPL 2025 mega auction at the base price of INR 50 lakh. The veteran right-arm pacer has represented four teams in the IPL so far – Chennai Super Kings, Punjab Kings, Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans.
His IPL journey began with Chennai Super Kings in 2013. In his first IPL season, Mohit picked up 20 wickets in 15 games and helped his team make it to the final. In the next two seasons, he claimed 23 and 14 wickets respectively.
In IPL 2016, he plied his trade for Punjab Kings and picked up 13 wickets. He played two more seasons for Punjab and picked up 20 wickets before being signed up by Chennai Super Kings once again for IPL 2019. Mohit played just one game for Chennai before being released.
In 2020, he was a part of the Delhi Capitals team and managed to play only 1 game. he did not play any game in the IPL 2021 and 2022 editions before making his return to the competition in 2023. Mohit Sharma hit the ground running on his return as he picked up 27 wickets in 14 games for Gujarat Titans. In 2024, he picked up 13 wickets.

Delhi Capitals have signed up Mohit Sharma for INR 2.20 crore at the IPL 2025 mega auction. Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans were the only team to bid for the bowler. In the end, the Delhi-based outfit outbid the 2022 IPL champions.
