Mohammed Siraj

India National Cricket Team fast bowler Mohammed Siraj has been right on the money with the ball in the ongoing practice game against Prime Minister’s XI. The one-day warmup game between the teams is taking place at the Manuka Oval in Canberra.

India has opted to field first in the ongoing game, which is a pink-ball affair, and so the fast bowlers have been magnificent with the ball. Mohammed Siraj, who took the new ball, bowled tough lines and lengths and troubled the opposition batters with the pink ball.

Siraj was up against the Australian batter Matthew Renshaw, but his run-up was interrupted due to the batter being distracted by security personnel standing by the sight screen. This didn’t go well with the fast bowled as he was visibly frustrated.

Siraj, as he stopped his run, turned back and shouted at the security personnel, saying, “Oh bhai garden mein ghoom raha hai kya. (Brother are you roaming around a garden?”)

For unversed, the famous comment of “Garden” came from India National Cricket Team skipper Rohit Sharma during the Test series against the England National Cricket Team earlier this year. He used the comment for young guns of the Indian team, who were pretty casual on the field.

Indian bowlers have asserted their authority over Australia’s Prime Minister’s XI with the ball

Coming to the match, Indian bowlers have asserted their authority over the opposition batters. Mohammed Siraj began the proceedings for his team after he removed Matthew Renshaw for just 5 runs and took his team off to a flying start.

Akash Deep supported him well at the other end as he removed Jayden Goodwin. But after that, it was all about Harshit Rana. The young pacer bowled sensationally well and picked four wickets in a flash to leave the Australia Prime Minister’s XI tottering at 138/7.

Mohammed Siraj will be crucial for his team going into the next match against the Australia National Cricket Team. He played a key role for the India National Cricket Team in the first game, which took place at the Optus Stadium in Perth.

The pacer bagged 5 wickets across two innings and helped the team win the game by 295 runs. He would be hoping to carry on the same form in the next game and help his team win the second game and extend their lead.
