Australia National Cricket Team skipper Pat Cummins has been giving his best with the ball in the ongoing third Test against the India National Cricket Team. The match between the teams in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 is taking place at the Gabba in Brisbane.
Pat Cummins has brought his team back into the game, and it now seems that Australia National Cricket Team will have a great chance to enforce the follow-on. After India lost KL Rahul, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Ravindra Jadeja put pressure on the hosts.
With the way Nitish Kumar Reddy and Ravindra Jadeja batted together, it looked like the India National Cricket Team would avoid the follow-on. But skipper Pat Cummins took the onus to himself and introduced himself into the attack and produced the breakthrough, removing the right-hander.
Cummins bowled a ball on a good length that held its line outside off. Nitish Kumar Reddy was loose as he looked to defend and ended up playing away from his body. The ball caught the inside edge and clipped the leg stump on the way to the keeper.
“Something is going to happen and he can feel it” – Adam Gilchrist’s predction comes true as Pat Cummins remove Nitish Kumar Reddy
What caught the attention of many was that, ahead of the dismissal, Adam Gilchrist, on air, made a bold prediction. He said, “Something is going to happen and he can feel it.” Before Pat Cummins sent Nitish Kumar Reddy packing with 52 runs still to avoid follow-on.

Nitish Kumar Reddy showed great composure with the bat, scores 16 runs off 61 balls
Nitish Kumar Reddy showed great composure with the bat and tackled the Australian fast bowlers pretty well. The all-rounder ended with an inning of 16 runs, but what was impressive was he was at the crease for 61 balls and also slammed one-four in his innings.
Australia captain Pat Cummins, on the other hand, has been exceptional with the ball in the ongoing innings. The premier pacer has taken three wickets, and with the kind of bowling changes that he has made, he has been spot-on, putting pressure on the Indian team.
India National Cricket Team make a slight fightback with bat
Pat Cummins would be keen to wrap up the Indian innings before the follow-on score. But on the other hand, Ravindra Jadeja is keeping his team in the hunt. The all-rounder is slowly ticking the scorecard and is giving his best for the India National Cricket Team.
As compared to the last two days, the India National Cricket Team are comparatively having the better day with the bat. Earlier in the day, KL Rahul played a magnificent inning of 84 runs and brought his team back in the game after they lost four quick wickets in the innings.
