The second Test match between the Australia National Cricket Team and the India National Cricket Team is underway at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide. The pink-ball game of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 commenced on Friday (6th December), and so far, the game has been enthralling.

Australia National Cricket Team are at the top of the game after their staggering effort with the ball. They bundled out of the India National Cricket Team for just 180 runs and are off to a decent start with the bat, even though they have lost the wicket of Usman Khawaja early.

The second innings of the ongoing Test was marred by the massive failure of Cricket Australia. During the 18th over of the innings, the floodlights at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide got off, and then play stopped for a fraction of a time.

The first time the lights turned off was after the second ball of the 18th over, which Harshit Rana was bowling. However, it was a momentary stoppage as the lights were back on early as the play resumed and the pacer continued his over.

But two balls later, the lights went off yet again and it didn’t go well with Harshit Rana. The India National Cricket Team pacer was fuming with the development as there was yet another break in the play. Fans, on the other hand, entertained themselves with their mobile phone torches before the lights were back.

India National Cricket Team bowlers had a tough outing on Day 1 of the ongoing Test against the Australia National Cricket Team. After the hosts got out on a low total, it was expected that they would come up with a similar effort with the ball as they did in the first Test in Perth.

But this wasn’t the case as the Australia National Cricket Team batters was off to a cautious start with the bat Usman Khawaja (13) and Nathan Mcsweeny added 24 runs for the opening partnership and saw the new ball pretty while.

Even though Jasprit Bumrah removed Usman Khawaja early, batters Nathan McSweeney and Marnus Labuschagne made sure that they put their team in the driver’s seat. They ensured that the hosts went into stumps without losing another wicket and ended the opening day of the Test match on high.

While Nathan McSweeney ended the Day 1 unbeaten at 38 runs off 97 balls, Labuschagne ended with 20 runs off 67 balls. At stumps, the Australia National Cricket Team finished with a total of 86/1 and is still 94 runs behind the Indian total.
