Australia opener Travis Head was dismissed in an attempt to try an aggressive shot off the spinner Varun Chakravarthy during the semi-final match against India in Dubai. After Head was dismissed, Virat Kohli gave him a highly aggressive send-off which showed the importance of his wicket.
Travis Head’ wicket fell during the ninth over of the match bowled by Varun Chakravarthy. Facing just his first ball of the match, Head decided to take him on straight away but didn’t connect properly.
The ball hit the lower part of his bat as it went high up in the air towards long-off where Shubman Gill took a fine catch after making some excellent ground to his left. It was a brilliant running catch from India’s vice-captain as he kept his eyes on the ball. After the wicket, Kohli went wild and was seen hurling abuses and yelling ‘F*** off’ loudly while looking at Head.
