The much-anticipated moment of Kohli coming on to the crease for Delhi at the Arun Jaitley Stadium came after Yash Dhull’s dismissal. Crucially, the former Indian skipper had to face the brunt of a fierce send-off from Sangwan following a humiliating dismissal. The Railways seasoned pacer thumped in the air and let some steam off after Kohli’s dismissal. The wicket came at a crucial juncture for the visitors as Delhi went down to 86 for the loss of 3 wickets on Day 2 of the Ranji Trophy clash between the two sides.

Delhi struggling to catch hold of Railways 1st innings score
Notably, the 1st innings total of 241 runs from the Railways is now appearing too much for the home side. The top-order pair of Dhull and Sanat Sangwan tried to stabilize the Delhi innings but could not add more than 67 runs between them. Kohli’s early dismissal added concerns for Delhi. At lunch, the home side trail behind Railways by 73 runs with skipper Ayush Badoni carving a heroic half-century and Sumit Mathur supporting his captain on the crease on the other end. Sangwan has proved out to be the most successful bowler for the Railways clinching 2 wickets for his side including the precious one of Kohli. Kunal Yadav and Pranav Sharma have bagged 1 wickets each for the Railways.
