Australia’s Mitchell Owen has slammed the joint-fastest hundred in the history of the Big Bash League (BBL). The fact that Owen’s hundred came in the big final between Hobart Hurricanes and Sydney Thunder makes this knock even more special.
Owen brought up his hundred off just 39 deliveries and equalled Craig Simmons in the list who also scored a century off 39 balls way back in 2014 while playing for Perth Scorchers. It was a special knock from the youngster who will remember this innings throughout his lifetime.
Mitchell Owen reached the milestone with an attempted pull off the legspinner Tanveer Sangha for a couple towards midwicket. He scampered through for two and was absolutely pumped after reaching the three-figure mark.
