Tensions flared during the ongoing Day-Night Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 at the Adelaide Oval, as the Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj and Australian batter Marnus Labuschagne were involved in a heated moment on Day 1 in Adelaide.

The reason behind this short interruption was a spectator, who was just behind Mohammed Siraj, walking with several cups in hand. His movement was right in Marnus Labuschagne’s eye-line, blocking his line of sight and disturbing his focus, which forced the Australian batter to halt his shot.
However, it was a fair call by Labuschagne, but Siraj’s anger was clear as he fumed at the unexpected delay, and now the video of the heated moment is all over the internet.

Well, just after the incident, Mohammed Siraj bowled a back-of-a-length delivery outside off to Marnus Labuschagne. However, the Australian batter brilliantly guided the ball past backward point for a boundary. Ravichandran Ashwin couldn’t get to the ball, and Siraj, visibly frustrated, was left shaking his head as the ball raced to the boundary.
Nathan McSweeney and Marnus Labuschagne lead the charge for Australia
Meanwhile, Australia is currently in control in the ongoing pink-ball Test, as they have not raced to 90s after losing their seasoned opener Usman Khawaja (13) cheaply to Jasprit Bumrah. While India is still searching for the wickets, Australian opener Nathan McSweeney seems to be settled on the crease after facing 97 balls for 38* runs in the ongoing second Test in Adelaide.
On the other hand, Labuschagne is also looking solid with the bat after a poor outing in the Perth Test. He has already faced over 67 balls for 20* runs against India. Now, the tourists must find a way to break their rhythm to make a comeback in the Day-Night Test against Australia in Adelaide.
India bundle out for 180 runs in the first innings at Adelaide
The hosts are trailing by just 95 runs in the ongoing second Test against India. Earlier, in the match, the Indian team was dismissed for just 180 runs in their first innings, with Australian pacer Mitchell Starc emerging as the standout bowler at the Adelaide Oval.
Starc claimed six wickets for just 48 runs, sending key players like KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, and Yashasvi Jaiswal back to the pavilion and putting the Indian batting line-up under immense pressure. However, Siraj remained unbeaten on 4 runs from 3 balls from the Indian side in the ongoing Test match.
