Team India all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy smoked Australia pacer Scott Boland for a huge maximum on Day 1 of the second Test match between the two sides. Jasprit Bumrah was stunned after witnessing Nitish Kumar Reddy’s reverse sweep six against Scott Boland in the second session of Day 1.
India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bat first on the challenging wicket at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide on Friday, December 6. India made a few changes with Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, and Washington Sundar in the team for Devdutt Padikkal, Dhruv Jurel, and Washington Sundar.

After losing the wicket of Rohit Sharma, Nitish Kumar Reddy walked out to bat alongside wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant. Nitish ran out of partners during the post-lunch session. The young all-rounder had to adopt aggressive batting to help the team reach a respectable total in the first innings.
On the second ball of the 42nd over, the right-handed batter showcased impressive innovation against Scott Boland. Reddy reverse-scooped a length delivery from Scott Boland over the slips for a six. The shot was executed perfectly, drawing smiles from both Nitish Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah.

India Bowled Out for 180 Runs in First Innings of 2nd Test
Mitchell Starc struck on the first ball of the innings, dismissing Yashasvi Jaiswal for a golden duck. KL Rahul and Shubman Gill steadied the innings with a 69-run partnership for the second wicket. However, Starc dismissed Rahul and then sent Virat Kohli back for 7, leaving the Indian team at 77/3.
Shubman Gill, batting at number three, scored 31 before being dismissed lbw by Scott Boland. Captain Rohit Sharma, who batted at number six, managed just two runs from 23 balls. Rishabh Pant (21 off 35) struggled with the sharp bounce and was dismissed by Pat Cummins, who secured his first wicket.
