Rohit Sharma batted at number four in the match against the Prime Minister’s XI. KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal continued their successful opening partnership from the Perth Test. However, Rohit had a disappointing outing. He was dismissed cheaply after edging a delivery outside the off stump.
The Indian team will take on the Pat Cummins-led team in the second Test match, a day-night match, at the Adelaide Oval, starting on Friday, December 6. It is unknown whether Rohit will open the innings alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal in the upcoming match, following KL Rahul-Jaiswal’s good outings in Perth.
