Reddy has turned out to be extraordinary for the India National Cricket Team. He made his Test debut in Perth and impressed everyone with his all-around heroics.

It didn’t look like the all-rounder was playing his first Test as he delivered a great performance with the bat. In two innings, he chipped in with attacking 41 and 38* runs respectively. With the ball, he was fine as well as he had the figures of 0/4 & 1/21.

In the Adelaide Test, Nitish Kumar Reddy continued to showcase his brilliance and smashed crucial 42 runs in the first innings to take India’s total to 180 runs. He also took a crucial wicket of Marnus Labuschagne (64), who looked at his very best in Test cricket after a very long time.

Nitish Kumar Reddy has a big responsibility on his shoulders to build a huge partnership with Rishabh Pant and help Team India get a lead after the failure of the star batters in the second innings.

He came out to bat after the dismissal of Rohit Sharma for 6 in the 21st over as India were left struggling at 105/5. Reddy once again started off well and looked comfortable in the middle.

Meanwhile, Nitish Kumar Reddy was involved in a verbal spat with Scott Boland on the last ball of Day 2. Boland bowled a 137.2kmph length ball to Reddy, who swung his bat hard across the line, and a thick inside edge saw the ball racing away to the square leg fence for four.

Cheteshwar Pujara drops verdict on Day 2 of Adelaide Test

Speaking on Star Sports, the out-of-favour India National Cricket Team batsman Cheteshwar Pujara shared his verdict on Day 2 of the pink-ball Test.

He said that Travis Head played a sensational and attacking innings against India. Pujara also lashed out at the Indian bowlers for not bowling bouncers to Head. He elaborated:

“I believe that Travis Head played very well. He played an attacking game. And the strike rate with which he played, he created a lot of difficulty for the Indian team bowlers. But somewhere I felt that our strategy could have been better. Indian bowlers could have bowled more bouncers to Travis Head and could have bowled more on the stumps.

“He was given a little too much room on the off-stump. On the 4th and 5th stumps, there was a lot of bowling. They could have controlled it a little better and could have bowled more on the middle and off-stump. They could have taken one fielder on-side, and with the 5-4 field, they could’ve bowled more. And the India bowlers could have bowled a lot more bouncers.”
