Initially unsure, Waseem called for a quick single, but Banton hesitated and decided against it, leaving Waseem stranded midway down the pitch. Raza, stationed at mid-off, swiftly gathered the ball and unleashed a precise throw that struck the stumps at the striker’s end, catching Waseem short of his crease.
This exceptional effort by Raza not only showcased his athleticism and accuracy but also gave Dubai Capitals a much-needed breakthrough in the powerplay.

MI Emirates post a competitive total
Despite the setback, MI Emirates managed to put up a strong total of 187/7 in their 20 overs. The standout performers for MI Emirates were Banton, who scored an impressive 74 off 52 balls with 9 fours and 2 sixes, and Nicholas Pooran, who smashed a blistering 59 off just 29 deliveries, including 6 towering sixes.
