The match, held in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday (January 21), saw India dominate their opponents, bundling them out for just 31 runs in 14.3 overs.

Vaishnavi Sharma’s claims maiden hat-trick for India

Vaishnavi’s performance was nothing short of extraordinary, as she finished her spell with impressive figures of 5 wickets for just 5 runs in 4 overs, including a maiden over. Her hat-trick marked a historic moment, making her the first Indian bowler to achieve this feat in the Women’s U19 T20 World Cup. The young spinner’s exceptional control and skill were evident as she dismantled the Malaysian batting lineup with precision.

Chasing a paltry target, the Indian openers made quick work of the run chase. Gongadi Trisha played a blistering knock, scoring an unbeaten 27 off just 12 balls, which included five boundaries. Her opening partner, G Kamalini, provided solid support with 4 runs off 5 deliveries. The Indian batters took only 2.5 overs to chase down the target, sealing the victory without losing a wicket.
