India National Cricket Team batter Virat Kohli has been in the headlines ever since he arrived in Australia. The batter didn’t get going with the bat in the ongoing second Test, which is underway at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide, which commenced on Friday (6th December).
Virat Kohli didn’t get going with the bat but he made sure that he was active on the field right from the start. The premier batter ever since he was stepped on the field for the second innings was charged up and was seen lifting his players.
Virat Kohli even made sure that he got into the ears of the Australian players and he was seen sledging players. The premier batter also was seen backing the Indian pacers and pumping them up as the opposition batters were all over the bowlers.
Not only this but Virat Kohli also came up with Stuart Broad’s bail-change trick as the Indian National Cricket Team pacers were struggling to take wickets. Ahead of the start of the 31st over when Bumrah was about to come into the attack, Virat Kohli swapped the bails to change the luck for the team. However, the trick didn’t work.

Virat Kohli fails with bat in first innings, scores 7 runs off 8 balls
Virat Kohli had a poor day with the bat in Adelaide, which is a happy hunting ground for him. With him scoring a century in the last game, it was expected that he would come up with a similar effort in the next game and help his team win the second game as well.
But that wasn’t the case as Virat Kohli was back in the hut early. The batter managed just 7 runs off 8 balls and slammed one boundary in his innings before he was removed by Mitchell Starc, who went on to pick the fifer, his 15th in Tests.
Overall, it wasn’t a great day for the India National Cricket Team, who are 1-0 ahead in the series. They got all out for 180 runs as no batter could go past the 50 runs mark. Nitish Kumar Reddy was the top run-getter with his score of 42 runs and powered the team to a fighting total.
Nathan McSweeney and Marnus Labuschagne put Australia in strong position in first innings
After India added 180 runs, it was expected that they would trouble the Australian batters with the ball. However, that wasn’t the case. Nathan McSweeney (38*) and Marnus Labuschagne (20*) batted magnificently well and put pressure on the bowlers.
They added an unbeaten 62 runs for the second wicket as Australia ended day one with 86 for one, trailing by 94 runs. India would be keen to turn things around tomorrow and get back into the game.
