The records were shattered in the 31st match of Big Bash League 2024-25 between Adelaide Strikers and Brisbane Heat. The Strikers put a massive score on the board after being put in to bat first.
Skipper Matthew Short led from the front and played a blinder. He scored 109 off 54 balls with 10 fours and 7 sixes, registering the fastest ton by an Adelaide Strikers batter. On the other hand, it was an evening to forget for Brisbane Heat bowlers. They conceded over 250 runs in the innings and conceded the second-highest BBL score in the history of the tournament.
