India Under-19 wicketkeeper Harvansh Pangalia pulled off a stunning effort during the Under-19 Asia Cup 2024 match between UAE and India at Sharjah. The effort reminded everyone of the legendary wicketkeeper MS Dhoni.
Right-arm pacer Chetan Sharma bowled a short-of-a-length ball to the UAE opener Akshat Rai. Rai pulled the ball towards the right of the midwicket fielder, who was inside the circle. The fielder gave the chase and stopped it well inside the boundary line.
The relayed throw was wayward and it came towards the wicketkeeper Harvansh Pangalia, who collected the ball and threw it backwards towards the stumps to knock the bails out of the ground. Pangalia dislodged the bails without even looking at it and immediately received praise from the commentators who were reminded of the great MS Dhoni.
