Darcie Brown’s impact with the ball
Brown, who played a crucial role with the ball, claimed her second wicket with Filer’s dismissal. Earlier in the innings, she had already sent England’s opener Tammy Beaumont back to the pavilion in the eighth over. Beaumont was trapped leg-before-wicket by a full, nipping delivery that struck her in front of the middle and leg stump. After a brief consultation with captain Heather Knight, Beaumont opted not to review the decision and walked off after scoring 8 runs off 15 balls.

Australia in control at stumps
England struggled to put up a formidable first-innings total, getting bowled out for just 170.
