Virat Kohli Dismissed At MCG

India National Cricket Team batter Virat Kohli had another low score in the ongoing series as he failed to score big in the ongoing fourth Test against the Australia National Cricket Team. The match between the teams is taking place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne.

Virat Kohli, who walked out to bat at No.4, looked in decent touch with the bat as initially he showed great respect to the bowlers. With the way he started his innings, it seemed that he would go on to get a big score and take India close to the total of the Australia National Cricket Team.

Virat Kohli showed great discipline early on in his innings

Kohli didn’t touch the ball outside off, which has been troubling him, early on as he looked extremely cautioned. The batter, along with Yashasvi Jaiswal, brought the India National Cricket Team back in the game after they lost Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul early, adding over 100 runs partnership.

But both the batters went back in a flash as first Yashasvi Jaiswal got run out after miscommunication with Virat Kohli. The wicket of the left-hander seemed to have shaken the concentration of the right-hander as the ball outside off yet again brought his downfall in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25.

Scott Boland bowled a ball in the outside off-stump channel, and Virat Kohli could’ve easily left it. The ball was on a good length on the sixth stump channel that pitched and seamed away as the batter poked at it and got an outside edge behind. Sam Konstas was delighted after Kohli got out.

Virat Kohli gets out after start, manages 36 runs off 86 balls

Kohli would’ve been disappointed with the way he got as he was back in the time after getting set. The premier India National Cricket Team batter was back in the hut after scoring 36 runs off 86 balls, slamming 4 boundaries in his innings as well.

After the wicket of Kohli, India National Cricket lost night watchman Akash Deep as well and was reduced from 153/2 to 159/5. In a day that seemed to be going towards the Rohit Sharma-led side, the Australia National Cricket Team dominated it with a flurry of wickets in the end.

India National Cricket Team are now under massive pressure as they ended day 2 with a score of 165/5. Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja are now at the crease and the onus will now be on the two left-handers to bail the team out of trouble and bring India back in the game on Day 3.

India National Cricket Team are still 310 runs away from Australia National Cricket Team’s score of 474 and are 110 runs away from avoiding follow-on. The Pat Cummins-led side would want to take the 5 quick wickets and make India bat again to win the game.
